Assess • Document • Improve

We do not just find problems. We help terminals fix them.

RC Automation connects operations, technology, and implementation support so terminals can identify gaps, make better decisions, and execute practical improvements.

01

Assess

Review workflows, systems, inventory processes, documentation, and performance gaps.

02

Map

Build process maps, asset lists, pain-point summaries, and risk observations.

03

Prioritize

Separate quick wins from larger system, training, and contractor-supported improvements.

04

Optimize

Support implementation, training, documentation, and continuous improvement.

Terminal Control Review

A focused review of how operational information, reporting, deficiencies, and accountability are controlled from field activity through management closeout.

Remote Review

$2,500

For one terminal or operating location.

  • Two management or operations interviews, up to 60 minutes each
  • Review of up to 10 reports, forms, SOPs, or logs, totaling up to 100 pages
  • Inventory and reporting workflow review based on the supplied documents and interviews
  • Customized Reporting Control Matrix
  • Customized Deficiency-to-Action Register
  • Findings and priority-action summary
  • Final management walkthrough, up to 60 minutes
  • One consolidated revision round

On-Site Review

$5,500

Plus travel expenses agreed in advance.

Includes the remote-review package, plus:

  • One site visit of up to eight hours
  • Operator workflow observation
  • Shift-handoff review
  • Terminal management system (TMS) and spreadsheet workflow review
  • Up to three additional interviews with operators, supervision, or management, up to 30 minutes each

All additional on-site activities take place within the eight-hour visit and depend on agreed access, personnel availability, and operating schedules.

Scope and delivery

  • The proposal identifies the workflows, documents, participants, and delivery schedule before work begins.
  • Spreadsheets and electronic logs are reviewed using agreed samples and date ranges. Full-dataset analysis is not included.
  • Revision requests must be submitted together within 10 business days of the management walkthrough. Revisions cover corrections and clarifications to the agreed deliverables—not new documents, workflows, locations, or analysis.
  • Additional site days, interviews, document review, or implementation require a separately approved scope and fee.

When a broader assessment makes sense

When findings reveal problems beyond information control, RC Automation can recommend a broader Terminal Excellence Assessment (TEA), scoped and priced separately.

This review provides operational information-control findings and recommendations. It is not a regulatory compliance certification, safety audit, or engineering inspection. Live system changes and implementation services are not included.

Follow-On Services

Built Around Terminal Excellence.

Start with a review. Grow into implementation support, documentation, training, and continuous improvement.

Operations Workflow Improvement

Identify bottlenecks, manual work, repeated mistakes, communication gaps, and operator time sinks.

Inventory Process Improvement

Review tank inventory workflows, reconciliation, variance tracking, reporting accuracy, and manual reporting risk.

Systems Utilization Review

Evaluate terminal management systems, Acculoads, tank gauging, reporting screens, permissions, dashboards, and underused system features.

Documentation & Training

Create simple SOPs, operator guides, checklists, handoff notes, and training material for new or cross-trained operators.

Automation Assessments

Identify where better instrumentation, reporting, integrations, or contractor-supported automation could improve performance.

Implementation Support

Help define scopes, communicate requirements, coordinate vendors, review progress, and support project closeout.

Built For Terminal Operations

Terminal performance starts with understanding the operation.

Common Terminal Issues

Real Terminal problems (TEA™) is built to uncover.

These sample scenarios show the types of operational issues a Terminal Excellence Assessment can identify, organize, and turn into action.

1

Manual reporting overload

Inventory and end-of-week reporting depends on spreadsheets, repeated manual entry, and operator memory. The review maps the current process and identifies reporting shortcuts, controls, and automation opportunities.

2

Underused terminal systems

Systems such as terminal management systems, Acculoads, or tank gauging may have features that are not being used. The review documents screens, users, workflows, gaps, and training needs.

3

Reactive Transfer Planning

When product transfers are planned too late, terminals risk delays and unnecessary pressure. The review identifies decision points, reporting signals, and handoff improvements.

4

Knowledge Transfer Gaps

Critical procedures depend on experienced operators instead of clear documentation, making training slower and increasing risk when people are absent, transferred, or retired.

5

Inventory Reconciliation Pressure

Daily and month-end inventory work takes too much manual effort, creating delays, variance questions, and reporting stress.

6

Loading Delay Blind Spots

Terminals experience repeated loading delays but do not consistently track the causes, making it harder to fix recurring workflow problems.

Capabilities Statement

Operations experience. Technology mindset. Practical execution.

RC Automation brings terminal operations knowledge, IT experience, inventory control awareness, and implementation-focused communication to help managers improve performance.

Operational Insight

Hands-on understanding of product movement, loading workflows, inventory routines, documentation needs, and operator pain points.

Systems Thinking

Ability to connect terminal software, field equipment, reporting needs, data flow, training, and management visibility.

Vendor Neutral

Recommendations are based on terminal performance needs—not pushing one software package, contractor, or equipment vendor.

Our Vision

Helping bulk liquid terminals improve operations, inventory controls, systems utilization, documentation, training, and implementation planning.
